Q
Quell
Quell the negative thoughts in your brain. We are our own worst critics.
Take the time to pay attention to how often you are negative
about yourself in your thoughts and make a concerted effort to stop the
negative thoughts. Consciously replace
them with positive thoughts.
You will be more productive and definitely happier when you
quell the negative thoughts that sabotage you.
Negative thoughts get people into so much trouble! I had a coworker who was working on her own inner negativity. She used a rubber band to first train herself to catch the negative thoughts. She then started using little stretchy bracelets to track changing a negative thought into a positive one (bracelet started on left wrist, move to right wrist when the thought has been transformed).
ReplyDeleteThere are some really creative ways to work on our negative thoughts.
Have a great day!

That is really interesting. She administered her own type of shock therapy to associate the negative thoughts with a physical pain. I like the idea of the rewards system with the bands.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing a process for actively trying to control negative thoughts.
Thank you for this post. This is a really important thing, that I had never given any thought to before. The rubberband idea above seems like an interesting method too!
ReplyDeleteReally good advice. It would be good to print it out and keep it.

Those negative thoughts so get in the way of any sort of happiness and success!
